Benzodiazepines are a class of psychoactive drugs that act as central nervous system depressants, producing sedative, anxiolytic, and muscle-relaxant effects.
The paper Benzodiazepines.pdf should not be considered medically sound, as I wrote it one night while on Ambien and possibly something else. I have also never studied medicine, but I find it interesting.
